Matilda by Roald Dahl
Matilda is a little genius. At almost five, she learned how to read by her own, even how to count like a calculator! But her father is a car stealer, her mom is spending money by playing bingo, and her brother is watching TV all the day. Her family doesn’t really like her… She very early wants to take the way to school. His father refuses at first, but gives in finally at the request of the child.
The people who are doing stupid things like the young kids relate with Lavender, the friend of Matilda. Lavender is also really funny.
My favorite part is when Matilda discover that she can do one magical thing: she can move and take things with her eyes ! I really like this character because it is the main one , she is really nice with others and she is always right. There was one character, the headmistress of the school who was unbelievable because she could do whatever she wanted to do with the children like to throw them by the window or in the air, or to make a child eat a huge cake!
I really liked this book and I recommend it for the ages from 6 to 1,000!!! I think the kids (or adults) who like tales should read this book.

Normally, cats and birds are not the best friends in the world…
